Traditional Earl Grey Tea is a blend of black tea flavored with bergamot oil and sometimes garnished with orange peel. Earl Grey White Tea is also popular and is a blend of Pai Mu Tan White Peony Tea blended with bergamot.

The Bergamot Orange is a citrus fruit commercially grown mostly in southern Italy, predominantly in Calabria.

Early Grey Tea is thought to be named after Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey. He was British Prime Minister during the 1930's.
